It’s Lipedema Awareness Month. I try to post about it every few months because people still don’t recognize it, and it gets mistaken for obesity quite often. The tissue is not normal subcutaneous fat tissue. It does not respond to normal diet and exercise or calorie deficits the same way normal fat tissue does.

I have had many clients with it, and it can be quite debilitating psychologically and physically. It is really noticeable when someone isn’t losing weight like they should and their leg circumferences aren’t changing.
